What is Surfers Bay Beach Bar?
Surfers Bay is our oceanfront beach bar on Barbados’ South Coast, and home to Hotel Manyana. Known for its laid back atmosphere, live music, good food and sunset drinks, it has been a favourite local spot by the water for years.
Upstairs, Hotel Manyana is our 15 room oceanfront hotel, offering a relaxed base for exploring the South Coast.

Surfers Bay sits directly on the ocean at Silver Sands on Barbados’ south coast, about 15 minutes from Grantley Adams International Airport and a short drive from Oistins.

Hotel Manyana offers Studios, One Bedroom Suites and Two Bedroom Suites, all with ocean views and private balconies or terraces. Each room includes kitchen facilities, giving you the flexibility to settle in and make yourself at home.

We’re approximately 15 minutes from the airport by taxi (around USD 20–25). We can organise a trusted local taxi who provide airport meet and greet for USD40 each way

Surfers Bay beach bar and restaurant is right downstairs, with South Point Hotel next door and Café Luna nearby. All of our rooms also have kitchen facilities if you prefer to eat in.
Miami Beach is around a 15 to 20 minute walk away, with calm water for swimming, local food vendors and plenty of space to settle in for the day.
Oistins is around 10 minutes by car, with a supermarket, shops, restaurants and the famous Friday night Fish Fry.

A car isn’t essential, but we recommend one if you’d like the freedom to explore more of the island. We can help arrange car hire delivered directly to Hotel Manyana.
Taxis are readily available, while local buses, minibuses and ZR vans are an easy and inexpensive way to get around.

From November, breakfast is served downstairs at Surfers Bay.
If you feel like heading out, South Point Hotel is right next door, while Surfers Café and Carolina’s in Oistins are both local favourites and around 10 minutes away by car.

Yes. Silver Sands is one of the island’s most well-known locations for surfing, kite surfing, and wing foiling.

The beach directly in front of Hotel Manyana can be rough depending on the swell and conditions, so it isn’t always suitable for swimming.
For calmer water, Miami Beach is around 2km walk away and is one of our favourite nearby spots for a swim.

Yes! We can recommend reputable local instructors and operators for surf, kite, and other activities.

Hotel Manyana sits directly on the ocean in a tropical environment, so you may occasionally spot ants, small insects, geckos or other local wildlife around the property.
Our rooms are carefully cleaned and maintained, but if you notice anything that needs attention, please let our team know and we’ll be happy to assist.
You may also spot Barbados’ green monkeys nearby. Please enjoy them from a distance and don’t feed them.
